Checkers Drive-In Restaurants, Inc. is one of the largest chains of double drive-thru restaurants in the United States. The company operates Checkers and Rally's restaurants in 28 states, and the District of Columbia. They specialize in hamburgers, hot dogs, french fries, and milkshakes.

"Worst place to work. Expected way to much for very little pay and the management does not care about staff. Also management does not listen to staff that have been employees long period of time. Employees are not trained properly and some staff do not care about safety regulations when it comes to mask wearing. Employees do not wash hands after smoke breaks or taking out trash or switching stations. Cons: Breaks are expected to be "cleaning breaks""

"My experience working there was horrible. My co workers and manager were amazing. The owner john on the otherhand was very inappropriate at my interview. He only hired me because of my smile. He eventually fired me because I would not tell him "Yes Sir". He kept on harrassing me trying to make me say "Yes Sir" to him which is insane. He left the store and called right after and told my manager to tell me that I was fired because he "Didn't like my attitude". He came off as a narcissist. I refused to tell him Yes Sir. He was disrespectful sexist and racist."

"Checkers is very nasty , the general manager have a nasty attitude . I wanted to punch her n the face but that would b a next time if she disrespect me again , I’m even going back there I’m telling my family not to cause they is to nasty , they barely use gloves n change they grease . "They had me going from store to store one night i went from one store left there and had to go to another. They got spanish people that speak no english working on the shifts. They bring in there family and friends and have u train them while they pay them more then u so they can replace u with them. It was a very horrible experience i would never go back too that place and the sad part is I loved the job jus not the management and the way things are ran."

"Its not a bad job its not a hard job , the crew memeber currently working in the store i worked are just unhealthy to work with. I constantly was picking up other peoples work and runing the store on my own for hours at a time. Its very unofficial. Cons: Terrible crewmembers and managers"

"There is no benefit to working here. It is a no skill, no room for advancement, simplistic work environment. There is no challenge, no incentive, no training, and the work is for unmotivated teenagers and adults. If you want to work at a non challenging and do whatever you want job then this is the place. Cons: The owner shows up and forces you to work."

"Terrible job. Yes they pay 30,000 yearly, but its with 10 hours mandatory over time. No questions ask. Long 10 plus hour shifts with no breaks. If someone calls out. You have no choice but to stay."

Former Employee - General Manager says

"I worked at Checkers & Rally’s Drive-In Restaurants full-time for less than a year Cons: Broken equiptment, refused to fix because of cost causing food quality and cleanliness issues. No bonus program in place for keeping labor costs down. Extremely poor work life balance. I was required to work 9am until 4 am because people called off, and no one wanted to come in to work. Employees generally hated the job and morale was super low. After talking with subordinates I find out its because they were lied to about their pay. They were promised say, $14 an hour and then when they got their first paycheck it was explained that they were getting $12 an hour but were guaranteed 5 hours of overtime so they were making the same amount (but for 5 more hours of work). Promised 401k with 10% matching and I thought wow thats pretty impressive! When I get the paperwork, it is only 2% matching. Employees routinely had hours missing off of their paychecks (particularly overtime hours). All of the employees concerns created extremely poor work to life balance for me that was completely out of my control. I couldn't take a single day off without the job calling me because someone didn't show and no one knew how to handle the situation because turnover rate was so high from these issues."
